Aniket DnayaneshwarHirde Preparation Strategy & Insights

Background

I come from a middle-class family in Maharashtra, and my parents always encouraged me to pursue my dreams. I was fascinated by the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and wanted to serve the nation. I started preparing for the UPSC CSE exam while I was still in college, and my hard work paid off when I cleared the exam in 2021.

Study Plan

My study plan was quite rigorous, and I used to study for around 8-10 hours a day. I focused on my weak areas, such as history and geography, and practiced a lot of mock tests to improve my time management skills. I also joined a coaching institute, Chanakya IAS, which provided me with excellent guidance and support.

Challenges

One of the biggest challenges I faced during my preparation was balancing my studies with my other responsibilities. I had to work part-time to support my family, and it was tough to manage my time effectively. Additionally, I had to deal with self-doubt and anxiety, which affected my performance in the exam.

Strategies

To overcome these challenges, I developed a few strategies that helped me stay focused and motivated. Firstly, I created a study schedule and stuck to it, even on weekends and holidays. Secondly, I joined a study group, which provided me with a sense of community and support. Thirdly, I practiced mindfulness and meditation to manage my stress levels.

Interview Experience

The interview experience was quite nerve-wracking, but I was well-prepared. I had practiced answering common interview questions, and I was confident in my knowledge. The panel asked me a mix of general and subject-specific questions, and I was able to answer them confidently.

Success

My success in the UPSC CSE exam was a result of my hard work, dedication, and perseverance. I want to inspire others to pursue their dreams and work towards their goals. Never give up, and always believe in yourself.
