Tale Abhishek Pramod Preparation Strategy & Insights

Background

I come from a family of modest means, and my parents always encouraged me to pursue my dreams. I was born on 08/11/1992, in a small town in Gujarat. Growing up, I was always fascinated by the world of governance and wanted to make a difference in people's lives.

Study Plan

My journey to becoming an IAS officer began with a clear study plan. I started by preparing a detailed schedule, allocating specific time slots for each subject. I also created a study group with like-minded friends, which helped us stay motivated and focused.

  • Start with the basics: I began by studying the NCERT books for 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th standards.
  • Develop a reading habit: I made it a point to read the newspaper daily, which helped me stay updated on current events.
  • Practice, practice, practice: I practiced solving previous year's question papers and took mock tests to assess my progress.

Challenges

The journey was not without its challenges. There were times when I felt overwhelmed by the vast amount of material to cover, and I doubted my ability to succeed. But I persevered, and my hard work paid off.

  • Stay focused: I made sure to stay focused on my goals and avoided distractions.
  • Seek help when needed: I didn't hesitate to seek help from my teachers and mentors when I needed it.

Strategies

I employed several strategies to help me succeed. One of the most important was to create a study group, which provided a sense of camaraderie and motivation.

  • Use flashcards: I created flashcards to help me memorize key concepts and terms.
  • Make notes: I made detailed notes on each subject, which helped me review and retain the material.

Interview Experience

The interview experience was both exhilarating and intimidating. I was nervous but determined to make a good impression.

  • Be confident: I made sure to be confident and assertive during the interview.
  • Show enthusiasm: I showed genuine enthusiasm for the role and the organization.

Success

My hard work and determination paid off when I secured All India Rank 249 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination. It was a moment of immense pride and joy for me and my family.

  • Stay humble: I remained humble and grounded, despite my success.
  • Keep learning: I continued to learn and grow, both personally and professionally.
