AIR 85 • UPSC CSE 2022 • Optional: Hindi Literature
I come from a small town in Rajasthan, where my family has been living for generations. Growing up, I was always fascinated by the stories of my ancestors, who were known for their bravery and wisdom. I think this curiosity about history and culture shaped my interest in pursuing a career in the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
I started preparing for the UPSC exam while I was still in college. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I was determined to crack it. I joined a coaching institute in Delhi and started attending classes regularly. I also started reading books on history, geography, and politics to improve my knowledge.
My Study Plan
The biggest challenge I faced during my preparation was time management. I had to balance my studies with my other responsibilities, like helping my family with their business. Sometimes, I felt like I was spreading myself too thin, but I knew I had to push through.
To overcome my time management challenge, I started using a planner to keep track of my schedule. I also made a habit of waking up early every morning to read and study before starting my day. This habit helped me stay focused and motivated.
The interview was a nerve-wracking experience for me. I had prepared well, but I was still anxious about how I would perform. My interviewer asked me tough questions about current events and my vision for the country. I tried to stay calm and answer each question to the best of my ability.
I was overjoyed when I heard that I had secured the 85th rank in the UPSC exam. It was a dream come true for me, and I felt a sense of pride and accomplishment. My success is a testament to the hard work and dedication that I put into my studies.
