AIR 767 • UPSC CSE 2023 • Optional: PSIR
I come from a humble background, and my journey to becoming an IAS officer was not an easy one. I grew up in a small town in India, where opportunities were limited, and the competition was fierce. But I was determined to succeed, and I worked hard to achieve my dreams.
My study plan was quite rigorous, and I followed a strict schedule. I would wake up early every morning, around 5 am, and start my day with a 2-hour study session. I would then take a break and have breakfast, and then continue with my studies. I would take regular breaks throughout the day to refresh my mind and avoid burnout.
There were several challenges I faced during my preparation. One of the biggest challenges was time management. With a job and a family to take care of, it was difficult to find time to study. I had to be creative and find ways to study even when I was busy.
I developed several strategies to help me succeed. One of the most important strategies was to stay focused and motivated. I set small goals for myself and rewarded myself when I achieved them. I also made sure to take care of my physical and mental health, exercising regularly and eating a balanced diet.
The interview experience was both exhilarating and intimidating. I had prepared well, but I was still nervous. The panel asked me a range of questions, from my personal life to my professional experience. I answered confidently and honestly, drawing on my experiences and skills.
I was overjoyed when I received the news that I had cleared the exam. It was a moment of pure elation, and I felt a sense of pride and accomplishment. I had worked hard for this moment, and it was worth it.
