Preparation Strategy
Background\n\nI come from a small town in Madhya Pradesh, and my journey to becoming an IAS officer began when I cleared three exams to land a government job. I never sought coaching and prepared for the exam on my own, getting my notes and source materials from YouTube and Google.\n\n### Study Plan\n\nMy study plan was quite simple. I started by studying all the basics from the recommended books. I also used VISION IAS Mains 365, which was very helpful. I made sure to have something to write on each topic, and I practiced writing answers. I didn't have a fixed schedule, but I made sure to study consistently.\n\n### Challenges\n\nOne of the biggest challenges I faced was time management. I had to balance my studies with other responsibilities, and it was tough to stay motivated. I also faced a lot of self-doubt, especially during the interview preparation. I had to work on my confidence and ability to interact easily with new people.\n\n### Strategies\n\n- Focus on building a strong foundation: I made sure to study all the basics and have a good understanding of the topics.
- Practice writing answers: I practiced writing answers to questions, which helped me to improve my writing skills and think on my feet.
- Stay consistent: I made sure to study consistently, even when I didn't feel like it.
- Seek help when needed: I didn't hesitate to seek help when I needed it, whether it was from my friends, family, or online resources.
- Stay positive: I tried to stay positive and focused, even when I faced setbacks or self-doubt. \n\n### Interview Experience\n\nMy interview experience was quite challenging. I had to answer a lot of questions, and I had to think on my feet. I had to be confident and articulate in my responses. I was asked a lot of questions about current events, and I had to be able to think critically and provide well-reasoned answers. \n\n### Success\n\nI was thrilled when I found out that I had secured Rank 21 in the UPSC Civil Services Examination, 2022. It was a dream come true, and I was grateful for all the hard work and dedication that had gone into achieving it. I realized that my success was not just about me, but also about the people who had supported me along the way.
