Preparation Strategy
Background\n\nI come from a small town in Rajasthan, where I grew up with a passion for learning and public service. My parents, both government employees, encouraged me to pursue my dreams, and I was lucky to have a supportive family throughout my journey.\n\n### Study Plan\n\nI began my UPSC preparation with a crash course called Prelims 63 days or 9 weeks plan by iastoday online. This helped me understand the exam pattern and syllabus, and I was able to clear the prelims in just two months. For the mains, I focused on my optional subject, Psychology, and prepared using the Integrated Learning Program (ILP) by Dinesh Godara.\n\n### Challenges\n\nOne of the biggest challenges I faced was balancing my studies with my work as a software engineer. I had to work long hours and often had to sacrifice my sleep to study. Additionally, I had to deal with self-doubt and imposter syndrome, which made it difficult for me to stay motivated.\n\n### Strategies\n\nTo overcome these challenges, I developed a few strategies that helped me stay focused and motivated. Firstly, I created a study schedule that allowed me to balance my work and studies. I also made sure to take breaks and engage in physical activity to maintain my physical and mental health. Secondly, I surrounded myself with positive people who supported and encouraged me throughout my journey.\n\n### Interview Experience\n\nThe interview experience was a turning point for me. I was nervous but prepared, and I was able to showcase my knowledge and skills to the panel. The key to success in the interview is to be confident and articulate. I remember one of the questions asked to me was about the effect of urban traffic congestion on economic growth and quality of life. I was able to answer it confidently and provide examples from my own experience.\n\n### Success\n\nSecuring the 150th rank in the UPSC CSE 2022 exam was a dream come true for me. It was a result of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. I learned that success is not just about achieving a goal, but also about the journey you take to get there. I hope my story inspires others to pursue their dreams and never give up on their goals.\n\n- Be consistent and persistent in your studies
