Preparation Strategy

Background

I come from a small town in India where education is highly valued. My parents encouraged me to pursue a career in civil services from a young age. I was fascinated by the idea of serving the nation and making a difference in people's lives.

Study Plan

My study plan was quite rigorous. I started preparing for the exam 2 years in advance. I created a detailed schedule and stuck to it. I covered all the subjects, but focused on the optional subject of Mathematics. I solved previous years' question papers and practiced mock tests to get a feel of the exam.

Challenges

The biggest challenge I faced was time management. With a full-time job and a family to care for, it was difficult to balance my studies with other responsibilities. I had to be very disciplined and prioritize my tasks. I also faced self-doubt and frustration at times, but I didn't give up.

Strategies

To overcome the challenges, I used the following strategies:

  • I created a study group with like-minded individuals who were also preparing for the exam.
  • I used online resources and study materials to supplement my studies.
  • I practiced yoga and meditation to manage stress and stay focused.
  • I took breaks and engaged in activities that I enjoyed, like reading and watching movies.

Interview Experience

The interview experience was nerve-wracking, but also exhilarating. I was asked a range of questions, from my academic background to my interests and hobbies. I was also asked to speak on current affairs and policy issues. I was prepared for the questions and was able to answer confidently.

Success

My success in the exam is a result of hard work, determination, and perseverance. I believe that anyone can achieve their goals with the right mindset and strategy. My advice to aspirants is to stay focused, work hard, and never give up on their dreams.
