AIR 310 • UPSC CSE 2022 • Optional: Sociology
I come from a middle-class family where education is highly valued. My parents always encouraged me to pursue my dreams and work hard to achieve them. I was fascinated by the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and wanted to serve the nation as an administrator.
My study plan was quite structured. I started preparing for the UPSC CSE from the beginning of my graduation. I made a detailed schedule and followed it strictly. I devoted 8-10 hours a day to studying and revising. I also joined a coaching institute to get guidance from experienced teachers.
The biggest challenge I faced during my preparation was time management. With a full-time job and a family to take care of, it was difficult to balance my studies with other responsibilities. I had to be very disciplined and focused to achieve my goal.
To overcome the challenges, I adopted a few strategies. I used flashcards to memorize key terms and concepts. I also made a habit of reading the newspaper and current affairs magazines to stay updated with the latest events. I used online resources like YouTube videos and blogs to supplement my studies.
The interview experience was nerve-wracking but also very rewarding. I was well-prepared and confident, but I still had to answer some tough questions. I remembered my study plan and the strategies I had adopted, and I was able to answer the questions confidently.
My success in the UPSC CSE is a result of my hard work and determination. I am proud of myself for achieving my goal and I hope to inspire others to do the same. Perseverance and hard work are the key to success. I would advise all aspirants to stay focused and motivated throughout their journey.
