I'm Harshvardhan Singh, and I'm thrilled to share my journey of cracking the UPSC CSE 2022 exam. I'm a CSE undergrad student who has cleared the UPSC NDA multiple times, and I'm passionate about helping others achieve their dreams.
My study plan was quite extensive, but I'll break it down for you. I started preparing for the UPSC exam about 2 years ago, and I dedicated at least 8-10 hours a day to studying. I followed a structured plan, which included:
Reading NCERT books and other reference materials
Solving previous years' question papers and practice tests
Focusing on my weak areas and improving my skills
Taking mock tests and analyzing my performance
Staying updated with current events and news
Cracking the UPSC exam is no easy feat, and I faced numerous challenges along the way. Some of the biggest challenges I faced include:
Managing my time effectively and balancing my studies with other responsibilities
Staying motivated and focused, especially during the long and grueling study sessions
Overcoming my fear of failure and self-doubt
Dealing with the pressure and stress of the exam
To overcome these challenges, I employed several strategies that helped me stay on track. Some of these strategies include:
Creating a study schedule and sticking to it
Breaking down my study material into smaller, manageable chunks
Using flashcards and concept maps to help me remember key concepts
Practicing mindfulness and meditation to reduce stress and anxiety
Surrounding myself with positive and supportive people who encouraged me to keep going
The interview experience was a challenging but rewarding part of the UPSC exam. I was asked a range of questions, from general knowledge to more technical and specialized topics. Some of the key questions I was asked include:
What do you think are the biggest challenges facing our country today?
How would you approach a particular problem or issue?
Can you tell me about a time when you overcame a difficult obstacle?
I'm thrilled to say that I secured Rank 418 in the UPSC CSE 2022 exam. It was a long and arduous journey, but it was worth it in the end. I learned so much about myself and about the exam, and I'm grateful for the experience.
Key Takeaways:
Stay focused and motivated throughout the study process
Use a variety of study materials and resources to stay engaged
Practice mindfulness and self-care to reduce stress and anxiety
Surround yourself with positive and supportive people who encourage you to keep going
Believe in yourself and your abilities, even when things get tough
