AIR 91 • UPSC CSE 2022 • Optional: Sociology
I come from Jabalpur, MP, and was always fascinated by the Indian Administrative Service (IAS). I pursued a degree in Sociology and later decided to take the UPSC CSE exam. I had two setbacks before finally achieving my goal of securing AIR 91 in 2022.
My preparation strategy was a result of trial and error. I started by making a study plan, which included a detailed schedule for both prelims and mains. I focused on current affairs, history, geography, and sociology. I also made sure to revise my notes regularly.
The biggest challenge I faced was managing my time effectively. I had to balance my studies with other activities like attending coaching classes and participating in mock interviews. I also had to deal with self-doubt and anxiety.
To overcome the challenges I faced, I developed several strategies. I made sure to prioritize my studies and allocate time for self-study and revision. I also joined a coaching institute to get guidance and support. I made sure to stay motivated by setting achievable goals and rewarding myself for my progress.
The interview experience was a turning point for me. I was well-prepared and confident, which helped me to answer the questions effectively. I was also able to showcase my personality and skills, which impressed the interview panel.
Securing AIR 91 in the UPSC CSE 2022 exam was a dream come true for me. I was able to achieve my goal through hard work and determination. I also learned the importance of staying motivated and focused throughout the preparation process.
