AIR 172 • UPSC CSE 2022 • Optional: Sociology
Growing up, I was always fascinated by the way society functioned. I spent hours reading about different cultures, governments, and economies. This curiosity eventually led me to pursue a degree in Sociology.
When I started preparing for the UPSC, I knew I had to create a structured study plan. I divided my time into dedicated blocks for each subject and topic. I also made sure to include regular breaks and self-care activities to avoid burnout.
One of the biggest challenges I faced was staying motivated. There were times when I felt overwhelmed by the sheer volume of material and the pressure to perform. But I kept reminding myself of my goals and the reasons why I started this journey in the first place.
To overcome the challenges, I employed several strategies. I made sure to stay organized and focused, using tools like to-do lists and calendars to keep track of my progress. I also joined a study group, which provided me with a sense of community and support.
The interview experience was both exhilarating and intimidating. I was nervous but tried to stay calm and composed. I made sure to answer each question to the best of my ability, drawing from my knowledge and experience.
Looking back, I realize that success is not just about achieving a good rank. It's about the journey, the lessons learned, and the growth that occurs along the way. I'm proud of myself for pushing through the challenges and staying committed to my goals.
