AIR 10 • UPSC CSE 2022 • Optional: Electrical Engineering
I come from a family of modest means, and my parents always encouraged me to pursue my dreams. I was born in Patna and grew up in a small town in Bihar. My father is a retired banker, and my mother is a homemaker. I completed my class 10 from St. Karen's and 12th from DAV.
I started preparing for the UPSC exam after completing my graduation. I pursued a self-guided study approach without relying on coaching. I created a robust study plan, which included a detailed schedule and a list of topics to be covered each day. I used to prepare a study timetable on the basis of the UPSC syllabus and followed it strictly.
I faced many challenges during my preparation. One of the biggest challenges was maintaining my motivation and focus. There were times when I felt like giving up, but I kept pushing myself. I also faced challenges in understanding certain concepts, but I was determined to learn them.
I used various strategies to overcome the challenges I faced. One of the most important strategies was to stay motivated and focused. I used to reward myself after completing a certain task or reaching a milestone. I also used to take breaks and engage in activities that I enjoyed.
The interview experience was a mix of emotions for me. I was nervous but also excited to share my thoughts and ideas. I was asked a range of questions, from current affairs to general studies. I tried my best to answer each question to the best of my ability.
I was thrilled when I heard that I had secured AIR 10 in the UPSC CSE 2022 exam. It was a moment of pure joy and satisfaction. I had worked hard for this moment, and it was worth all the effort. I am grateful to my family, friends, and mentors who supported me throughout my journey.
