Preparation Strategy
Background
I come from Bijnor district of western UP, and my journey to becoming a UPSC topper was not of a childhood dream nor of falling for this career path. I actually started preparing for the exam in June 2022, and gave my attempt in 2023. My story is a testament to the fact that it's never too late to start preparing for the civil services exam.
Study Plan
My study plan was quite straightforward - I focused on understanding the basics of each subject, and then moved on to advanced topics. I made sure to cover all the topics in the syllabus, and didn't leave any stone unturned. I also made sure to practice as many questions as possible, and analyze my performance to identify areas of improvement.
Challenges
One of the biggest challenges I faced during my preparation was time management. With a full-time job and other commitments, it was difficult to find time to study. But I managed to prioritize my studies and make the most of the time I had.
Strategies
