Preparation Strategy
Background
I've always been fascinated by the world of literature, and Hindi literature in particular. Growing up, I was exposed to the rich cultural heritage of Hindi literature through my parents, who were both avid readers. My interest in Hindi literature only deepened as I delved deeper into its complexities and nuances.
Study Plan
My study plan was a carefully crafted roadmap that I followed diligently. I started by creating a schedule that allocated specific time slots for each subject. I also made sure to allocate time for revision and practice tests. My strategy was to focus on one subject at a time, and I made sure to cover all the topics thoroughly.
Challenges
One of the biggest challenges I faced was time management. With a demanding study plan, it was easy to get overwhelmed and lose focus. I had to constantly remind myself to stay on track and not get sidetracked by distractions. Another challenge I faced was self-doubt. There were times when I felt like I wasn't good enough, or that I wasn't making progress. But I pushed through those feelings and kept moving forward.
Strategies
To overcome the challenges I faced, I employed several strategies. One of the most effective strategies I used was the Pomodoro Technique. This technique involves working in focused 25-minute increments, followed by a five-minute break. This helped me stay focused and avoid burnout. I also made sure to take breaks and engage in activities that I enjoyed, such as reading and watching movies.
Interview Experience
The interview experience was a mix of emotions. I was nervous, but I was also excited to showcase my knowledge and skills. I was asked a range of questions, from general knowledge to specific questions about my subject. I made sure to answer each question confidently and clearly, and I was proud of myself for staying calm under pressure.
Success
Securing 917th rank in the UPSC exam was a dream come true. It was a testament to my hard work and dedication, and I was proud of myself for pushing through the challenges I faced. I realized that success is not just about achieving a goal, but also about the journey you take to get there. I learned to appreciate the small victories along the way, and to stay focused on my goals.
