AIR 383 • UPSC CSE 2023 • Optional: Sociology
I come from a family of modest means, and my parents always encouraged me to pursue my passions. I was initially interested in physiotherapy, but during my internship, I realized that it wasn't for me. I took a leap of faith and decided to pursue a career in civil services.
My study plan was quite unconventional. I started preparing for the UPSC exam in 2019, but I didn't have a clear plan. I would study for a few months, take a break, and then come back to it. I realized that this approach wasn't working for me, so I decided to create a more structured plan. I set specific goals for each subject and allocated a certain amount of time for each one.
One of the biggest challenges I faced was time management. I had to balance my studies with other responsibilities, such as work and family obligations. I had to learn to prioritize my tasks and make the most of my time.
To overcome these challenges, I employed several strategies:
The interview experience was ** nerve-wracking**, but also an opportunity to showcase my skills and knowledge. I prepared thoroughly for the interview, researching current events and practicing my responses to common questions.
Securing the 383rd rank in UPSC CSE 2023 was a dream come true. I was overjoyed and relieved that all my hard work had paid off. I realized that perseverance and determination are key to achieving success in any field.
I learned to stay focused and motivated, even in the face of challenges.
I developed a growth mindset, always looking for ways to improve and learn.
I believe that anyone can achieve success with the right mindset and strategies.
I encourage others to pursue their passions and never give up on their dreams.
