AIR 15 • UPSC CSE 2025 • Optional: Geography
I still remember the day I decided to pursue a career in civil services. It was a mix of excitement and nervousness. I had always been fascinated by the idea of serving the nation and making a difference in people's lives. I knew it wouldn't be easy, but I was ready to put in the effort required to achieve my goal.
My study plan was quite rigorous. I started by creating a detailed schedule that covered all the topics I needed to study. I divided my day into blocks of time dedicated to different subjects and topics. I also made sure to include regular breaks to avoid burnout. My strategy was to focus on one subject at a time, and I allocated more time to the subjects I found challenging.
There were many challenges I faced during my preparation. One of the biggest challenges was managing my time effectively. With so much to study, it was easy to get overwhelmed. I also struggled with staying motivated, especially during the long and grueling study sessions. But I didn't give up. I kept pushing myself, and I made sure to reward myself for small milestones achieved.
To overcome the challenges I faced, I employed several strategies. One of the most effective strategies was to create a study group. We would meet regularly to discuss topics and share notes. This not only helped me stay motivated but also provided me with a support system. I also made sure to take care of my physical and mental health. I exercised regularly and meditated to reduce stress.
The interview experience was both exhilarating and intimidating. I had prepared well, but I was still nervous. The panel asked me a range of questions, from general knowledge to specific topics related to my optional subject. I tried to stay calm and composed, and I made sure to answer each question to the best of my ability. The experience was a rollercoaster of emotions, but I was determined to give it my all.
Securing the 15th rank was a dream come true. It was the culmination of all my hard work and dedication. I felt an overwhelming sense of pride and accomplishment. I knew that I had given it my all, and I was proud of myself for staying the course. My success is a testament to the power of perseverance and strategic planning.
