Background\n\nI come from a middle-class family in Punjab. My parents always encouraged me to pursue my dreams, and I was fascinated by the idea of becoming a civil servant. I completed my graduation from Shri Ram College of Commerce in June 2023.\n\n### Study Plan\n\nMy study plan was quite disciplined. I used to wake up at 5 am every day and start my studies. I followed a strict schedule, allocating specific time slots for each subject. I also used to read newspapers and current affairs to stay updated with the latest happenings.\n\n- I used to study for 8 hours a day, 6 days a week.

• I used to take breaks in between to refresh my mind.
• I used to revise my notes regularly to ensure that I didn't forget anything. \n\n### Challenges\n\nThe biggest challenge I faced was time management. With so many subjects to study, it was difficult to allocate time for each one. I also had to deal with self-doubt and anxiety, which were major obstacles in my journey.\n\n### Strategies\n\nTo overcome these challenges, I employed several strategies.\n\n- I used to make a to-do list every day to stay organized.
• I used to prioritize my tasks based on importance and deadlines.
• I used to take help from my friends and family when I needed it.
• I used to reward myself for achieving small milestones. \n\n### Interview Experience\n\nThe interview experience was nerve-wracking, but I was well-prepared. I had practiced answering common UPSC interview questions and had also studied the current affairs.\n\n- I used to practice answering questions in front of a mirror to improve my body language.
• I used to record myself answering questions to identify areas of improvement.
• I used to read books and articles to stay updated with the latest happenings. \n\n### Success\n\nMy hard work and dedication paid off when I secured AIR 61 in my first attempt. It was a surreal moment, and I was overwhelmed with emotions. I realized that with the right mindset and strategy, anything is possible.\n\n I didn't let self-doubt and anxiety get the better of me. I kept pushing myself to work harder and strive for excellence.\n\n I was able to adjust my study plan and strategies as needed, which helped me stay on track.\n\n My friends and family were always there to encourage me and provide help when I needed it.
