AIR 220 • UPSC CSE 2023 • Optional: Law
I come from a small town in Kerala, and my family has always been supportive of my academic pursuits. I was fascinated by the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and the impact it has on society. I knew that I wanted to be a part of this prestigious service and serve the nation.
My study plan was quite disciplined, and I followed a rigorous routine. I would wake up early in the morning and start with a 2-hour study session. I would then take a break and engage in some physical activity or exercise. After that, I would have lunch and spend the afternoon studying. I would take short breaks in between to refresh my mind.
There were several challenges that I faced during my preparation. One of the biggest challenges was managing my time effectively. With a busy schedule, it was difficult to balance my studies with other activities. I also faced difficulties in understanding some of the complex concepts, but I persevered and sought help from my teachers and mentors.
To overcome these challenges, I employed several strategies. I created a study schedule and stuck to it. I also joined online forums and discussion groups to stay updated with the latest developments. I sought help from my teachers and mentors when I needed it, and I practiced consistently.
The interview experience was quite challenging for me. I was nervous and anxious, but I tried to stay calm and composed. I was asked a range of questions, from my academic background to my interests and hobbies. I was also asked to speak on a topic of my choice, which was a great opportunity for me to showcase my skills and knowledge.
My success in the UPSC exam was a result of my hard work and dedication. I had a clear vision and a well-defined study plan. I was consistent in my efforts and persevered through the challenges. I also sought help from my teachers and mentors when I needed it, and I stayed motivated throughout the journey.
