AIR 372 • UPSC CSE 2023 • Optional: Law
I was always fascinated by the world of law and governance. Growing up, I was intrigued by the way laws were made and how they impacted society. This curiosity led me to choose Law as my optional subject for the UPSC exam.
My study plan was quite rigorous. I started preparing for the exam about 2 years in advance. I created a detailed schedule, allocating specific time slots for each subject. I also made sure to allocate time for revision and practice tests. My study plan was quite flexible, and I made sure to adjust it according to my needs and progress.
One of the biggest challenges I faced was managing my time effectively. With a full-time job, it was difficult to balance work and studies. I had to be very disciplined and prioritize my tasks accordingly. Another challenge I faced was staying motivated. There were times when I felt like giving up, but I pushed through and reminded myself of my goals.
To overcome the challenges I faced, I employed several strategies. Firstly, I made sure to take breaks and practice self-care. This helped me stay refreshed and focused. Secondly, I joined a study group, which provided me with a sense of community and support. Lastly, I made sure to review my notes regularly and practice tests to gauge my progress.
The interview experience was both nerve-wracking and exhilarating. I was well-prepared, but I still felt a bit anxious. However, as the interview progressed, I gained confidence and was able to showcase my knowledge and skills. My ability to think on my feet and articulate my thoughts clearly was a major turning point in the interview.
My success in the UPSC exam is a testament to my hard work and determination. I am proud of myself for pushing through the challenges and staying committed to my goals. I would advise future aspirants to stay focused, work hard, and believe in themselves. With the right mindset and strategy, anyone can achieve their goals.
